Field Empowerment: Wendy’s Mobile Data Success Story

The Challenge

Around 100 newly acquired Wendy’s stores faced a significant issue: field teams didn’t have immediate access to essential data, making it difficult to locate and utilize key information for daily operations. The fast-paced environment rendered reliance on computer access impractical, and the existing dashboards were underutilized due to a suboptimal user experience.

The Solution

To address this, we developed a Power BI Mobile App specifically for field managers across these 100 Wendy’s locations. Our goal was to provide a robust on-the-go solution for accessing critical data, enhancing the speed and quality of operational decisions directly from their mobile devices.

We focused on creating a modern, user-friendly mobile dashboard, ensuring field managers could act on data-driven insights instantly. Key design elements included ease of navigation and clear information presentation, making every interaction with the app intuitive and productive.

Key Features:

  • Easy Navigation Tabs: Tabs allowed for seamless navigation between different sections, such as Summary, Trends, and Products.
  • Performance Heatmap: A heatmap enabled field managers to easily analyze performance metrics.
  • Historical Trends Pop-Up Windows: Pop-up windows allowed users to view historical trends without navigating away from the current tab.
  • Drill-Through Capabilities: Drill-through features enabled users to perform in-depth analyses of specific data points.

The newly introduced Power BI Mobile App has become an essential daily tool for the team, resulting in:
